2025 marked another remarkable year for Optimaize, characterized by significant progress in our linguistic resources, software capabilities, and infrastructure. Building on previous achievements, we continued to expand our dictionaries, introduced important software features, strengthened security, and improved resilience by adding a secondary domain to avoid a single point of failure.
Dictionary Expansion
- Expanded Dictionary of Names: In 2025, we made continuous progress in importing and enriching multiple term types, significantly increasing both volume and cultural coverage. Our work included over 15,000 new given names, 10,000 family names, patronymics, hypocorisms, and many more term types. These additions further improve name recognition, parsing, and matching accuracy across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts:
- Europe: Greek, Danish, Hungarian
- Asia: Urdu, Kyrgyz, Korean, Burmese
- Latin America: Spanish (Latin America), Brazilian Portuguese, Quechua, Aymara
Software Enhancements
Our software ecosystem saw notable improvements in 2025, with a focus on compliance, performance, and robustness:
- Verification of Payee (VoP): Integrated with NameMatcher to support enhanced payment verification and fraud prevention use cases
- Java 21 Update: Migrated to Java 21 to leverage the latest language features and performance improvements
- Security Enhancements: Implemented multiple improvements to further harden our infrastructure and protect customer data
- Infrastructure & Resilience: To support scalability and resilience, we also introduced a secondary domain, enhancing availability and flexibility for our services while reinforcing operational reliability.
- Disposable Email Address Detector: Continuously expanded with newly classified domains to improve detection accuracy
- NameAPI Dictionary Expansion: Extended to include additional company legal forms from various countries
2025 has been a year of steady advancement and strategic enhancements at Optimaize.
